Course layout

The course will run over 1 full day. 

You will receive an in-depth JLH training manual with step by step pictures created by myself.

The morning will consist of a hands-on demonstration from myself, of both the techniques. We will run through the step by step guide alongside the demonstration. 

We will also cover some consultation advice, managing expectations and colour theory. 

Break for lunch (drinks, refreshments and lunch are included) 

After lunch, you will practice your chosen technique on a live model. Completing a full JLH transformation. 

Full head foiling technique suited to the models of personal preference. Advanced toning techniques. 

Blow-dry and finishing techniques and finally tips and tricks on getting that perfect Instagram shot!

The course will run in small intimate classes of up to 3 students. 

 

Products 

All colouring products used throughout the course will be L’Oreal Professional with a focus on Pre-Lightener (Platinium and Studio9) and toning products (Dialight) 

 

Location 

The course will be held at the James Lear Hairdressing salon in Manchester. M25 9RY.

Pricing

Cost of the day course is £800

To secure your place a deposit of £200 is required, the remaining balance is payable the week before the course.

Models

You can arrange your own training model if you wish so that you can choose your own technique to practice. 

Technique one - The Classic Balayage.

A model with pretty natural root to the mid area wishing to lighten her hair generally with highlighting and balayage techniques. (Lowlights can also be added) Blonde and brunette hair is suitable for this technique.

Technique 2 - The Root Blend.

A model with a full head bleach or highlights with a small root wishing to blend the dark root into her blonde regrowth. 

This tends to be more of a blonde technique

If a model can not be sourced and you require a model we will able to arrange this. 

 

Please note, this course is only suitable for qualified hairdressers with colour especially highlighting experience.

You’ll receive a certificate of completion after finishing your course.
